I have a friend who fished next to me in his boat this spring and his Terrova did that twice and had to take it to repair dealer 60 miles away each time.
That will ruin a good day on the water.
Knock on wood, l've owned 4 Terrova's and never had that happen.

Thanks for all of the replies. I was convinced, and just got off the phone after placing my order with Brian. I highly recommend him to anyone in the market for boat equipment. I bought my electronics from him, and now a trolling motor. I don’t believe you can beat his prices! Also, his knowledge and advice is priceless!

I went with the Terrova, 112 lb, 60” shaft. According to FedEx, it will be here Saturday.

Hope it fits the bill for you. I want to give you an idea about heading off a mentioned problem, that being the lost it’s mind, out of control rotation. These motors are voltage sensitive and mine had some issues with the breakers needing to be replaced. That was when I had my problems. My charging system has a disconnect built in so if I flip a switch, it goes dead and the rotation and damage cease. Get with Brian and find out how to have one at arms reach if you don’t already have one.
