Good report Ketch, thanks for sharing. I'm still gonna say Slabsauce woulda helped you ketch more.. The oil woulda made your jigs sink faster! Woulda slipped right through the water.
man did the fish go deep that trip ! I started with a tandem 1/32 rig and at 22 feet down it was like waiting all day for them jigs to hit the strike zone . so I said well maybe I need THREE !
dropped that a while and entertained myself and a few others like that and then went BIG !
now mind you it wasn't like you needed lots of skills to ketch these fish . they was in herds and if you got a jig near them it was a bite.
sure was fun short trip with the 4 of us late in the day and I hear tell the next day was even better. we didn't keep fish on our short trip but they kept 18 in a short period of time the next day .
no scenting of jigs was required either trip best I can tell you and I hit a few off the dock before and after the boat ride that evening .a thunderstorm ran us off the water a bit earlier than we planned and I was home by 8 30 pm and got there at about 5 30 pm .
thanks so much Ez and crew for the fun outing . I hear tell after I left they hammered white bass under the green lights and channel cat off the dock as well about dark thirty .
that's my story and I am sticking to it
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales

I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me.
Nice catch.
Be safe and good luck fishing
I have long lined with three jigs before but never vertical jigged three before. Good catch sir.
Bet that was a FUN trip.....
You was there laughing at my 3 way SK ....and I might just need to bring my sauce next go and see if slippery gets it down there quicker ...lol
Heck, I cannot keep one jig untangled much less three.
