Here's what 2# test Crystal did for me two days ago:

Took me a while to land her, but if you have good equipment, like the B n' M rod & reel that I recently won in the contest forum, you can land anything on this line. Here's a link to the entire post I recently made:

What pound test leader do you use? I'm thinking about using something that will break before the Fireline breaks, so I don't lose my main line.

Mike and I used the gliss yesterday and it cast’ almost as good as the nano and so far no issues. I did have to retire the nano a couple of times yesterday, some things just don’t change. A couple of gar and a bunch of bluegill at or over the 9” mark, all the lines held up well. It’s impossible to fish where I do without getting in the trees and I’m sure that’s what caused the weak spots that caused the nano to break. I have some 3lb fireline on the way, that’s my next comparison to do. Y’all have given it such good reports, I’m looking forward to it.

I just got the 2 lb crystal fireline in last week, so for... I love it. I can cast the GEKKABIJIN 1.5g jighead a mile,I'm thinking about putting on a #4 mono leader(fireline is much stronger than mono) so that will break, instead of the fireline.

I have used a 4lb Stren clear blue leader about 5’ since a dinner plate crappie turned and rubbed the nano and it parted. Don’t lose many fish from that anymore. Rubbing branches when I miss the water and go through a branch is more of a problem for me. Creates a weak spot and you know the rest. That 4lb is some pretty tough stuff.

Ok,I guess I'll go with the 4 lb Stren.I just hope it breaks before the fireline does, because this stuff is kinda expensive.

I just used the 8lb gliss for the first time this weekend. Not sure how it will hold up, but I really like how it handles. Cast great and was comparable to me to nanofil, but seemed more durable and it is cheaper.
