    Default WARNING !

I love to see people ketch crappie . But be cautious with what you leave behind . No matter what methods you employ there is NO excuse for leaving BRAID hanging around and or any other line . That and the used minnow bags and the sinkers and cigarette buts and etc etc etc .
BUT Braid particularly bothers me in that someone or some wildlife could be very seriously injured . Imagine your child getting this length of braid around its neck and stumbling and falling . I am about fuming MAD over seeing this and it was at head high in a large amount hanging in such a manner that a child could have easily gotten tangled in it . This coupled with the particular spot and knowing lots of children fish there with parents REALLY bothers me ! this pc. was much longer than it appears in the photo .
I removed it and put it in the trash where it belongs and now ….
I NEVER look for a fight but to be sure if I see you do this and we are going to have a major problem quickly !

I agree 100%. It's disgraceful to see what some folks leave behind by way of trash, fishing line, cans and bottles and etc.
I was taught from a very early age to leave a spot the way you found it or better before you leave.
Good word Brother Ketchn. Some rants just need to happen.

I totally agree with you Ketchn.. I fish quite a bit in the Waccamaw River here in SC and also in NC. Some people have total disregard for our waterways and wildlife. There are some idiots here that leave tree cat hooks hanging from the limb after they are through fishing. They throw everthing they don't want in the River. Thankfully we have a Riverkeeper that organizes very successful cleanup days. It just makes me "HOT" when someone abuses our waterways and wildlife...

The same careless knuckle-heads that do that stuff are the same ones that drive out in the country to throw their old couch out on the side of the road.

Great post and needed to be said.I have picked up pile after pile of discarded line to keep wildlife from getting tangled and dieing and have saw several birds that died from tangled line,,Not a sight you would want a small child to see.

Braided line cost a friend of mine last year due to it getting in his prop and cutting the seal of the foot of the boat motor out.
Be safe and good luck fishing
