I use the corded rapala and I am on the 2nd one . first one lasted 3 yrs and am on my 3rd year on this one now . they do get warm after about 30+ fish but have done me well I usually clean 500+ fish a year so I’m satisfied ! I have the Berkley cordless and it only last about 20-25 fish handy if no electricity but don’t last long and isn’t too sharp!

I recently bought the HD Rapala. Only cleaned a couple fish with it but I like it so far.

So you’re using a different blade on the Black and Decker? That may something to try????

I have cleaned everything from large sharks, red fish to many panfish with my American Angler corded filet knife- still going, but I am also looking for a good cordless one now.

I use the american angler 12v fillet knife with the battery clips. I've used it hard for over a year, sometimes filleting over 100 white perch a session. The thing still works good as new. It's well worth the money, I got it off ebay for 40 bucks. The same knife retails for $109.
Commercial worm farmer, but presently sold out until further notice.
