There are fishermen and guides that I'm sure break the laws but they are the exception to the rule. I feel like guides are less likely to break the law than the average fisherman. They have a lot more to lose with the law and their reputation.

Never have caught a limit on crappie. Let alone catching 200 in day.

Yep that's me...I have yet to get close to a
limit. 6 maybe 7 and I'm done. Probably not fishing in the right place at the right time with the right bait. When their biting, I catch what will make a good meal or two, and go home. Wait till next time and try all over again...

To pay their legal fees, the guides should write up "how we did it" and sell it on Ebay.

Every guide I ever used was happy to get to his limit fast so he could go home. I have used guides many times and I have never seen one fish over the limit

This is my home lake. Makes me sick to my stomach. They let the fishermen off Scott free, the guides got a measly 2700.00 dollar fine. And if my memory serves me right each guide had to pay restitution on 50 crappie at 6 dollars a fish. So a total of 5700.00. We spent more money on surveillance in law enforcement than that. No loss of license. It's all in the judges hand's I guess it pays to know the judge.

In the last two weeks we have seen a judge in the USA state that a man guilty of forcible rape will be let off leniently because he was from a good family! This case ( over the limit ) in point at least had some penalty, measly as it was, for the crime.
