I use the Berkley Crappie nibbles, never had any problems. What name brand are you using?
went Crappie fishing yesterday, float with hair jig was having no luck so thought I would try adding some nibbles. They was so tuff/hard I couldn't push the hook thru. Anyone ever have this happen. I tried dipping a few in water to soften but that didn't work they just got mushy.
Any suggestion other than tossing them in trash.

It has happened from time to time. Usually because the jar is old since I don't use them on a regular basis. Only thing I found to do with them once they get hard is to use them for chum.
When mine do that, I spray with Slab Sauce and let sit for awhile.
I add a little water to the jar. They suck it up and soften. They are hard because they have dried out.

I’d toss and buy new... I don’t think you can get those back to life...

Take a piece of paper towel, wet it and place it on the jar top, then screw on the lid and let set over night. Keep the towel wet until the desired softness is achieved.
Also if you see the nibbles are starting to harden up just add a few soft nibbles and let set over night.
This works for me too. Or, you can just add 1/2 ounce of water and leave overnight. Good as new.
