Default G3 Sportsman spider rigging from a deep v

Hey crappie.com nation. Any of you fish from a deep v style boat? Use to be the high sides kept anglers from trying them due to wind drift. Now with electric steer trolling motors, it’s a breeze to fish from and comfortable. On this episode I spider rig from a deep v with no problems. Hope you watch.

Good to see you back Scott, looking forward to more in the future. Nice boat, more options than I’m used to seeing.

I too fish out of a Deep-V and have for years. I set mine up with 3 seats across on the front deck. I multi-species fish on a variety of water. Crappie, Smallies, Northern, and Walleye are the main species I target from her. I fish in 300 acre ponds to Canadian Shield Lakes, and the Illinois river. Hard to beat the versatility of a Deep-V. Not to mention a dryer ride in rough seas than a Modified-V or Flat bottom boat.
    Great video by the way.

Glad to hear. I think they’re the best boats to have. Tons of room. Very comfy. Two livewells. More storage than anyone needs. Can’t say enough good things about them.

We’ve set in 18” and idled through 2 feet. It drafts surprisingly shallow
