    Default Live scope question

I recently added the panoptix system to my boat and love it, however I am finding it useless in water less than 5 feet of water. Are any of you having the same issue or am I not dialing it in properly?

Try to manually set the the depth to 7 feet and forward looking to 20-25 ' Also adjust your gain. I use mine at those depths,

Yep. I had to adjust the depth to 5ft fishing 4ft of water and it would only show about 20ft out

Ok, time for an update. I fished shallow this morning and did as suggested. I manually set my depth for 5 feet. What a difference. I got a clear picture in 3 fow. I could see my jig (most of the time) and watched as the crappie came in and hit it. Beautiful sight for sure. Thanks to everyone for the help.

Lake Life if you don't mind I have one more question. What does it look like fishing a shallow bank. Most of my fishing is following a bank as it's our main structure here. Can fish be seen while looking towards a bank at about 10 to 15 foot from it. Thanks one more time

Yes you can see them, you will have some broadside then see them turn to just a vertical line and back to broadside view. I can only say in about 2 feet of water where I fish.
Thanks PannieJoe thanked you for this post
