Default Rod Threading Device video by M R Dux

Check out this handy tool called a "rod threading device" which makes stringing your fishing poles a lot easier.

    Erupt Fishing

It may have been hard to understand the company name in the video. I checked around and the $29.99 price is what I saw, even on Amazon. I think those of us who bought them at Grizzly saved a couple of bucks.

Marketing 101, create a problem and solve it with your product. Billy Mays was king of the tactic. Never felt threading a rod was an issue. Rarely thread a rod unless respooling or changing reel on rod. And dont think it is a daunting task. I guess to each their own.

I also bought one at Grizzy's same time as Doug. My personal experience not good. Came home from Grizzy's late on Sat. night. Put all my treasurers in boat in unheated garage, got down to 20 degrees that night. Next day after church it was 40 degrees. Had to play with my new toys. First bobber broke have way through treading rod. Second bobber broke while putting into unit. Called phone number on back of card. Left message that I wanted to buy new bobbers. That was 1-28-19 called 10 times no response.3-6-16 still no response. Called Wade @ Grizzy's and he sent me 2 bobbers, no charge.(GREAT service as always) New ones seem to work fine. I would suggest you don't use them when they are cold, they must be very brittle. Just my experience.

This looks pretty nifty. I usually pre-string my long crappie rods to save time on the water. With this device, I might be able to take those long rods down, instead of trying to figure out how to transport them without breaking something. A little pricey, but maybe I'll give it a shot. I'd rather somebody poke me in the eye with a sharp stick as to have to restring 8 rods... I use to swap out reels when going from pulling jigs to spider rigging. I hated stringing those long poles so much I bought a complete 2nd set of rods just so I wouldn't have to do that. I guess I'm gonna have to get one of those gizmos. Might order me a sham-wow too. LOL
