Do you mean how long the battery should last for a day of fishing? Look at the amp hours and/or reserve capacity of the battery. Then look at the amp draw of your trolling motor. Divide the two.
Other factors will come into play though : some being
- wind
- current
- weight in the boat.
If your referring to the lifespan of the battery- figure 2-5 years for a lead acid.
Hope this helps and doesn't confuse you too much more.

Your boat is not all that large, so maybe weight might become a factor you need to consider. Also how long do you plan on using that 55# thrust motor for each day on the water? If you only plan on using it for 4 or 5 hrs. per trip, that's one thing. If you want to run that motor all day long, that's quite another.
Another factor to consider is where the battery is stored in the boat. By that I mean, is it covered (garage or compartment) or exposed to the elements. Will you run the charger out to the boat, or bringing the battery inside to charge? If the later, then you need to factor in the weight again. A series 27 battery will weigh in at around 40 pounds. A 31 will almost double that weight. Depends on how heavy a battery you can lug around.
Sorry not to be able to give you a better answer, but these questions might direct you down a different path, one that you do not want to regret after a trip on the water.

I use 27s and have been able to fish more than one day without issues, using the trolling motor pretty much steadily all day long...
I might consider asking your friend who has been in the business. Just make sure he don't sell you a battery that isn't compatible with your charger.

O boy what do you mean not compatible with the charger.
It's a deep cycle marine with variable voltage and battery type for lead acid, gel, and agm.
