    Once the water temps get up to the 60s and the crappie spawn is winding down, go to the ledges closest to shallows that have 12 or more feet of water and start working the cranks just off the drops. Concentrate on the points or current breaks. Don't leave an area until you have pulled the cranks in both directions. Some days they just want it different. Start out with several different colors/patterns/sizes to see what they want.

    You are going to catch everything in the lake that will eat a minnow on cranks. Don't look at that as a bad thing.
