If all you got is just one float for over $3.00 yes those are expensive. I found some on Amazon, package of 10 or 12 for around $5.00 and with prime shipping was free. Taped a small piece of plastic around the seam and sprayed the top with paint, and they work fine...

I suggest you stay with small lakes or ponds for bank fishing.
Unless you have access to some good boat docks or piers on the larger lakes.
Below spillways are good sometimes..
I’ve also caught a lot of fish below water control culverts that dump into larger rivers. Usually after a rain.

If worried about losing expensive cork, then use a swivel below cork with lighter size leader to jig.
i use them they are old school but work great give it a try make sure to pay attention to the rubber band make sure its snug

i bought a 2 pack of swimbait similar to these just cast out and reel slowly they dont sink very well sadly unless i add some lead
theres a lake beside me about 8 acres probably curious of best way to fish it it has 0 structure i know it holds crappie as iv seen people catch them im guessing the dam area would be the best to fish in the center in the deepest parts right now?
