I bought a cheapie rod sleeve from Walmart. Fits easy and I like the idea. But I keep my jigs tied to my line and of course they want to snag on the rod sleeve either going on or off. So I guess I either cut them off when storing rod in the sleeve or don't use the sleeve

    Wasabi,

Add a hook holder to each rod. Just above the handle, a zip-tie wrap, around the rod. Pick something you want to put inside to be the keeper. Even another ziptie turned 180° to the first one will give you a nice loop. A dap of epoxy will keep it in place on the rod blank. This position will be protected by the size of the reel and the mesh should not be able to get to the hook.

use a piece of an old cork over the hook point to cover it, the the hook won't snag the sleeve.

I only have 1 jig on the end of my lines, so I just hook the jig on the reel's line guide bar and the sleeves either don't reach the jig or the sleeve covers the reel but the hook point is pointing "into" the reel & doesn't get snagged. I'm referring to line counter reels or baitcast reels, of course.
On spinning rods/reels ... I hook the jig into the lure keeper loop on the rod, and the nylon fabric sleeves don't reach that far because they have velcro strips at the tip end so I can adjust their length. Another reason I like the nylon fabric type of sleeves over the plastic mesh.

If you use double jig rigs on your poles and still want to cover them with a sleeve/sock ... you may want to use duo-lock snaps on your lines and just remove the jigs prior to storing them in the sleeve/sock.
