At least we don't have hurricanes and earthquakes. Tornadoes and snow storms may on average be more costly but we are used to them :-) Bottom line I have no desire to move to where the sun shines. I have adjusted more or less to the problems I face and I know how to deal with them. If everybody moved to the coasts it would be a bit of a problem me thinks.

You could do that if you lived on a house boat :-) I think I was taken in by Mark Twain's romanticizing the river life as a kid.

Of course that means I would have to get a divorce and then I would not have the money to buy a houseboat :-)

What do you mean? It's been cold as heck down here since I got back from deer hunting in PA.
Probably brought it back with me. Cant even find a decent wood stove down here.
Down to about 50 last night and I hear it aint over yet. I didn't sign up for this.

yobuck, I lived in the panhandle area for a bit over 5 yrs, and the cold part of winter, we actually had weather below freezing, only lasted a week maybe two. After that the weather started warming up...
