Yep, I will take sand over ice anyday. Nice fishing 12 months in shorts and flip flops. Occasionally I break out a jacket.

Greenfish, really plan to at retirement. As we speak I am paying a young college man to camp outside Richard Gene's house. When a neighbor's property goes up for sale he will call me.Southerners are lucky... Actually thinking about Tennessee.

I was out on 5" of ice today. Heard a thunder like rumble behind me then a cracking sound and a a crack went between my feet and on across the lake. Even made water splash out of the hole I was fishing. Not sure about lucky but I sure was puckered
The older I get the more I realize the therapeutic benefits of fishing

Ain’t been much better here. Between rain, wind and temp changes haven’t been many days to fish around here. Lakes jumping up and down, muddy water. Been a heck of a winter even for us.
