    Default Double jig setup

I like to drift double jigs. I tend to use a swivel above the jigs for line twist. I guess I cant really say if it's really needed or not. Any thoughts?

Hyper swivel with power snaps here! I only fish with swimbaits so I use them on single or double rigs. IMHO, better action, and no twist.

if its moving along a swivel might keep twist to a minimum ……
don't know as I don't drift much with tandems and for sure don't carry a swivel of any kind with me

Friend ties on two of the cheap marabou jigs, the top jig he basically just ties a pretty simple knot. He drifts with this set-up and it works pretty well. I have tried it a couple times and it worked

I use a swivel but not usually a snap swivel. Using 2 number 12 swivels pass the line thru one swivel so the line can freely slide thru the swivel then tie the line directly to the second swivel. Then tie a 2’ length of mono to the stationary swivel with your jig attached to the end of it. Take the upper number 12 swivel that can freely slide along the mainline and attach a jig tied to no more than 4” of mono. This will accomplish 2 things. First it will prevent line twist on both jigs. Second, in the event that you catch 2 large fish at the same time the upper swivel will slide freely up and down the line helping to prevent the fish from breaking the line at the single knot holding both jigs. If the upper jig is tied to over 4” of line it will be prone to tangling when casting.
