Emabarassing Question ( showing ignorance)

Ok , I hate to ask this question but , I have asked 3 people and have gotten a different answer from all.

I bought a BnM jig pole with the bucks mini reel to go on it. Here is the question , Do you use it with the reel on top or with the reel hanging from the bottom ?

I know this may seem like a stupid question but I just dont know.

I do not know what a bucks mini reel looks like but if its push button with your thumb, it goes on top, if its open face spool it goes on bottom, hope this helps

If your refering to the little mini baitcaster type reels then I use them on top. CF

If it's the little plastic reels they hang underneath. If it's the small baitcaster lookin' ones then use them on top. It's not a dumb question...I have people all the time hold the rod upside down and try to reel.

That reel should be on top, as should all baitcasting reels.

Yup top it is

Top, and measure off one foot from were the line comes off the reel and mark or use tape to mark it on the pole, now measure how many inches one full turn of the reel will be. Now if your seeing crappie two feet off the bottom
you can put the jig right in front of thier nose. Hope this will help you.
