I actually was thinking about this to begin with. Was going to make some and mount the on the bottom side of the deck but of course where I put them landed where some of the braces are welded. I still might go with this route and put them on the top of the deck. Just don't want it to look like crap

I wouldn't put them on top, your liable to make them smaller because you don't want it to look like crap.
Either them for between the braces, or brace across those and use longer bolts.

I hear that modern treated does not react, I am not sure about that though. I am sure marine grade ply does not have the gaps, however you still need to put a water tight, water proof coating on the marine grade ply wood or it will still water rot. Plus it's a lot more expensive...just my 2 cents worth...

The only difference between marine grade and exterior grade plywood is the voids in the layup of the wood.
Go to a real lumber yard, not a box store and ask for exterior grade if you use plywood.
If you treat it with several coats of woodlife before installing it might outlast the boat.

I would use HDPE instead of plywood.

I looked it up online. It's like commercial cutting board. VERY expensive. It would be great but I can't afford it for sure

I have a 2012 Polarkraft and my decks are 1/2 HDPE with a non skid vinyl on top and I love it! Was a simple install for my Spyderloks and it's solid as a rock.

HDPE--- High Density PolyEthylene plastic. Starboard/Kingboard are common brand name used in the marine industry. You only need enough for bracing, not the entire deck. Be sure the HDPE has UV inhibitors, if it is to be exposed to sunlight.

Look at putting base plates on floor plate against bow where floor sheet laps over and welded.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
