    thanks for the comments and kind words yawl …..I of course should have went into details on how it ended up in a photo shoot .
    16 fow of water on the bottom with a water temp of about 50 and still quite muddy …
    a bait out of Texas a bud pours (MCM tackle) that is heavily garlic enhanced .
    about 930 am on a bluebird clear day west of ft worth about 45 minutes .
    1/32 number 4 ball head sickle hook I painted orange with nail polish (Crazy angler)
    6 # mono hi viz (slime line)
    Berkley hd cherry wood 7 foot 2 pc
    shimano reel
    and below are photos of some regular crappie with said jig and then last but for sure not least ..

    Now that is a good one. I have only weighed 1 crappie ever, but I do measure them for the length if they are really large or on the small side to see if they are legal.

    Nice fish! What did it weigh?...J/K. Most of mine get released too, though some get measured on the Hawg Trough & photographed first.
