I love my Southern Pro's, The 16' ones are fine! I use 1oz weights on their trolling poles.

I have Denali in 16 and 14. Really like them. Have 14 southern crappie and really like them for lite bite with 1/2 oz weights. Had a set of the 16 and did not like them at all. Their T series of rods are a little stiffer in the tip and probably be great with the heavier weights plus great quality for the money. Your going to get recommendations all over the board. It's like buying a truck whatever someone likes is the best and then you got the pro staff guys touting their brand. My suggestion is always if you can try fishing with someone who has what your interested in. What works great for me may not suit you at all.

Denali is the best I've fished with, love them, have them in 18s, 16s, 14, 10s and 5.5 lengths, use them to spider rig, long line, crank and single pole using anywhere from 1/4 oz up to 3 oz

I run 16’ft ACCs and really like them! Sensitive enough to see a feisty minnow but has enough backbone to swing 2lb slabs all day. I generally run 1/2-3/4oz weight and they handle em just fine! Side note, I just bought 2 of the 14’ Ozarks to have as backups. Honestly only bought em bc they were on sale at grizzly. Didn’t really know anything about the rods but when I got em in I was really surprised at the quality and feel! Hoping to run em this weekend to see how they do!
