    Default Southern crappie rods

What is comparable to B&m pst series rods? Wanting an all around pushing, pulling, and longline rod in the southern crappie rods.

I have the Southern 14T. The T is for trolling. A friend has the PST rods and they are comparable. I use mine for everything. I do have a set of regular 14 rods that are a lot lighter in the tip. I use those for when the bite is finicky but my overall rod is now the 14T.

I have the regular southern crappie(and like them) but why not PST'S ? I got mine for $20.00(easy choice) . For spider rigging I am not a fan of PST in cold weather (stiff tip)but I do not fish Dec. -Feb. and mostly single pole March-May. Like the Ozark Signature series for all round use also .

143T is very close to the action of pst but the pst is lighter in actual weight! Both are great rods!

I have all the southern crappie rod I think The regular fourteen and sixteens are closer to the PSTs. The 14 T and 16 T are a little heavier In my humble opinion

I just received the 163T (16ft) Southern Crappie Rods yesterday to add to my spread rated for 2 oz.. I have 8 of their 143T (14ft) rated for 2 oz ...I use them for everything.. I needed a little longer ones to add to the front and will move some 14fters to the back to go with the 12's and 10's... That puts me at 20 Southern Crappie Rods

I have 5 14 ft. Southern Crappie rods but they just say "14ft 3pcs" on them. I'm thinking 143T is the same. I originally had 16 ft. rods but they were difficult for me to handle so they were good enough to exchange them for me. This was about 2 years ago. Are the 143T an upgrade since then? Thanks, Pop

143 is for spider rigging with 1/2 3/4 oz weights the 143T is a little heavier for trolling or rigging with heavier weights.
