For you Lowrance users, lots of deals on used Lowrance units especially Carbons listed on bassboatcentral.com. The Bass fishermen are updating like all get out. Just a FYI. Electronics

West Marine has H'bird Mega 10 SI G2N's on sale for $1199. That's by far the best price I've seen on that unit, and I've been looking. I bought one of them.

I also got a Helix Mega 10 DI GN2 for 1199 last nite at midnite also! And spent all week rewiring boat, now have to undo every move made this week and start all over as will move my Mega SI 9 to rear of boat and install the 10 to use on new 360 I just installed on Rickie’s Da Ducer. You might want to upgrade your transducer before you open the package of it up when you get it to the newer DI G3 DI transducer as I plan on doing that myself. If you decide to do that, DO NOT open the wrapped (packagedJ transducer so you can trade Hummingbird as you have to send it in to them for exchange. There will also be a upgrade and shipping charge if you decide to do the exchange.

Mine is an SI. Will the newer SI ducer offer any advantages from the G2 SI ducer?

Those H2O Express rods might be my favorite rod if they'd change that stupid, bulky reel seat. Too much in the hand. I really like the blank the rod is made on though.

i think so but not sure if you add on a transducer with Y cable so ask on electronic forum. My advise is to not upgrade your software to 1.84 version as too buggie with all the postings on BBC forum but others didn’t have a problem when upgrading. I am not upgrading new DI if I don’t have to to link it with 360 and network it to my 9 SI. But, now that I think about upgrading to newest G3 transducer, I need to research if I would have to upgrade to use it and if I do have to upgrade will just keep and use the transducer than comes with it.

According to the H'bird website, the SI+ ducer is only compatible with G3N units.
