    Default Bridge column fishing

Richard Gene, as I, like to fish bridge columns. In his videos I see his boat stationary. Don't know how he does it. TM is stowed, no tie off lines, and no anchor line showing. I have a lot of trouble with holding position under bridges. Not sure why he does not.

He once showed how he did something similar, by anchoring from the stern and using the tm to position the bow. If he had the tm stowed, perhaps the current was holding the bow where he wanted it.

I think he may use 2x4 boards to tie or put rope through hole in boards.
On the bridges l fish the most l measured between the concrete beams and cut 2 boards to fit in at concrete beams angled flanges and a hole in middle of boards to put rope through.
One to bow cleat and other to stern cleat.
I only do this if l have scanned and know there is a school of fish on columns to setup on.
If scans show fish scattered l use trolling motor.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

I have several large speaker magnets with eyes welded to the backers. Tie a short piece of bungee cord and then rope to it. Then stick them to the steel bridge supports, if they are 12' or lower. Work great.

Many concrete pilings have steel plates you can stick the magnets to.
