I sat and watched this guy fishing for four hours this morning.
Eventually he said to me, "Why don't you give it a go?"
I said, "No thanks. I don't have the patience."

Three guys were fishing in a lake one day, when an angel appeared in the boat.
When the three astonished men had settled down enough to speak, the first guy asked the angel humbly, "I've suffered from back pain ever since I took shrapnel in the Vietnam War ...
Could you help me?" "Of course," the angel said, and when he touched the man's back, the man felt relief for the first time in years.
The second guy who wore very thick glasses and had a hard time reading and driving.
He asked if the angel could do anything about his poor eyesight.
The angel smiled, removed the man's glasses and tossed them into the lake.
When they hit the water, the man's eyes cleared and he could see everything distinctly.
When the angel turned to the third guy, the guy put his hands out defensively -- "Don't touch me!" he cried, "I'm on a disability pension."

Mummy why can't I go swimming in the sea?
Because there are sharks in the sea.
But Mummy, Daddy is swimming in the sea.
    That's different he is insured.

long, but it'll make you laugh
about 2 years ago one of my best fishing buddies died and his last wish was to have his ashes spread on patoka lake in IN.
About a month later after the memorial service at the pier, Jack and I went there to fish with him. Another couple were already there fishing off the outside edge of the T shaped pier. We ask how they were doing and they said they haven't caught anything. Well Jack and I set up on the inside corner where we always fish. Using minnows we started pulling fish out almost instantly. The couple ask what we were using for bail, we said minnows and they said that they were also using minnows and had nothing to show for it. That's when we told them that we had a secret weapon, Our departed fishing buddy was down there putting those fish on our line just to remind us that he'll always be with us. Needless to say they were astounded and we all got a good laugh out of it.
smiles are contagious, spread them around
