I’ve been using a scrap spool of 10lb mono for tying my own bobber stops with no issues.

Seems like scrap mono has a following.

This, of course, is market research. I'm getting low on stops that I include with my bobbers, and I found out that my supplier passed away in May. Many thanks to Jim Zanke, who owned Hook 'Um Tackle in Minny, and much respect for his memory. I don't know if his family is continuing his business, but it seems not from the online presence. I don't know that I can find string knots of such high quality anywhere else.

If you use a mono knot you can make it much smaller than the pre tied string type . This translates to hardly any feel as it goes through your rod guides, plus it grips much tighter.

That may be a 500 pack.....all I know is she bought them on amazon and may have bought multiples of it. I’ve given some to friends I fish with, maybe I should do a YouTube giveaway on them Favorite Bobber Stop?

When she knows I like something she buys lots, I wanted some Berkeley flicker shads a few years back and she came home with about 30. Told her I liked those Huk boxer briefs, she bought 7.

    Yep, I’ll keep her!
