Ok if I get the ESP what reel?

I looked at Okuma Epixor XT and thought that sounded good. Should I just wait on both until I can eventually find something in a store and actually hold and test it? Don’t know when that will be though.

Sorry about that SuperDave ... I guess the search guidelines I gave you DON'T work (just tried them, myself).

But, I did a Google search & did find this thread from 2011 : https://www.crappie.com/crappie/main...sp-rods-2.html .... so add that to my PM info.

I've been Google searching it and most of the information I have found has come from Crappie.com. Not much else out there on it. What I have read is about everyone seems to like them. My big concern is the handle size and it working in my kayak and the rod holders.

I throw jigs with a 6ft power lite... I also have a 6’9” St. Croix panfish rod and I am almost torn between which one I prefer to toss jigs with... for you I would for sure suggest the esp rod... I have a 1500 series daiwa on one of my esp’s and a 1000 series shimano on the other (liked the esp so much I bought an extra)

I have a couple of sharpshooters 6’ one with a presidential and one with a pleuger arbor like them a lot. I’ve been fishing with a 6’ Cadence rod with an okuma epixor which has become my go to outfit.

I was actually looking at both the Cadence (rod & reels) and Okuma Epixor...lol. Do you like the Cadence better then the sharpshooter? Epixor better then Presidential?

I have the cadence set up with 2# Vicious line with the size 20 okuma. I have 4# on the sharpshooter. I fish brush and shoot docks. Ive used the cadence most of the summer and mostly pitching to brush but shoots pretty good using 1/32 oz jigs. I used the sharpshooter small last winter into spring on docks so not sure if I’ll go back
