Sorry to read this about your little girl. Ive lost two in recent years, one to cancer and the other to old age at 18. Both were the best anyone could ever ask for. I know the loss you feel and would lift it from your shoulders if I could. Only comfort I can offer is that you. Aren’t alone and her difficulties are over. She’s back to chasin bunnies. God Blesss.

sorry for your loss, been there done that. We had a miniature yorkie-poodle that had diabetes and we gave him insulin shots 2 times a day for almost 6 years until he finally succumbed to it. That's been several years ago and we still miss the little feller. RIP Gizmo.

Thank you everyone, For the well wishes, thoughts and prayers. Momma and I are very thankful to all of you. She is real worried about me after she returns to work tomorrow. I told her I will be alright, wel as alright as I can be anyway. I have the floor to finish in the kitchen. I covered it up with two sheets of plywood and put everything back as best as I could so we could have a decent week-end while she was home. Her daughter and grand daughter came in from over Tulsa way for Saturday and were up doing some shopping at the outlet stores when I Rosie was rushed to the E.R. Vet here in Springfield, MO.. I kept her informed by phone as best as I could. They made it back shortly before we got the devastating news that her liver had shut down. It was the hardest thing I have ever done, but I made the decision to end her suffering. I held her in my arms when she slipped away to the Rainbow Bridge to be with her sister Tinker. MY baby Rosie....Please forgive me, and play with your sister, and frolic till
we are all together again. RIP MY BABY ROSIE...

To Us, My wife and I, we need a little one in the house, SO we are trying to find us a couple of chihuahua's. We spent a couple hours on line looking at the SPCA, as well as Petfinders, who has a rescue shelter in Nixa, Mo just a little south of us. We found a couple we are interested in and asked about them but evidently they are closed for business today. Hope to hear something tomorrow. We will never forget, our little fur babies, and will never get over losing them, but the love a couple of fur babies that need some love from a forever home sure would go a long way to helping a couple after losing their beloved babies, Fur babies or not...

Be careful if you're buying a dog online. There are tons of scams, seriously. You'll get through this, best of luck finding the new family member.

I am sorry to hear about your 16 yr old not doing well. I hope she gets better. We will always have memories of our little ones. Contacted a local rescue, and am waiting the home visit before they let us have the two we want. They are beautiful little chihuahua's. One is 4 yrs old and the other is around a year. They will be a great addition to our home. Momma (my wife), is even thinking of a third little one...Thank you for your kind words and thoughts. Hope yours gets better. Eric.

I feel for y'all. We have had our share of losses over the years. Our newest family member is named Tuie. We got her when she was 10 weeks and she is now 8 months. Looks like Miss Rosie, but not pure bred and is a bit bigger. She is the sweetest most loving little dog I have ever had. Never let one sleep next to me before and can't imagine her not being with me anymore. I miss her when I am not around her. My wife and I also have our Sadie(dachshund). We will have a special little cake for her Sep. 30 when she makes 7. Two great ones and definitely family to us. Hope the new pups bring you as much joy. God bless.

An extremely nice picture. Rosie and Tinker had the run of the house, and miss Rosie often did. One end to the other at a dead run. Tinker spent a lot of time riding shotgun with momma in the big truck. She has more miles under her paws than most folks. She didn't care for the cold months or riding up north. Just to cold for her. We have a complete word robe of winter clothes for her. Rosie spent all but the last two years in southern Mississippi and Lower Alabama. The last two years she has been here in Missouri. both would snuggle your feet under the covers, or you would wake up and Rosie would be wrapped around your head. It was always interesting where you would find her. Memories...
