My answers are kinda skewed because all my fishing is vertical jigging year round with tube baits .

The poll only reflects are preferences. I could catch more fish in the spring for example using live bait but I only enjoy casting. The summer is perhaps an exception because the fish are deeper and trolling techniques are easy to employ as the fish may not be in cover or too shallow to troll for. In fact it is the only way I have consistently caught crappie in the summer. Trolling has the additional benefit in summer of keeping you cooler and less bothered by bugs. The poll tells me that more people are like me than I thought in the sense that they don't measure success by the number of fish they catch.
