Default Made my own Spider Rigs

I go speck (crappie) fishing every year and never do very well. I am determined to catch them this year! I have never spider rigged and finally have the equipment to do it. I am cheap and won't pay $120+ for a set of rod holders. I made two of these, which screw into a 3/8" base, and they cost me $44 each in parts.

I have a bay boat and didn't want to drill a bunch of holes into it for the rod holders. I made a template of the front of the boat with cardboard and cut it out of 3/4" wood. I made a hole for my seat base, and it holds everything in place. I cut out a hole for my minnow bucket and screwed some 3/8" bases and my sonar into it. I put some window sealing rubber on the bottom for paddng. I think it is going to work well, but haven't gotten to water test it yet.

I had all the tools and some of the other stuff. The biggest cost was the individual rod holders. I got those off of eBay for $45 shipped, which was included in the cost.
