I have had the Ultrex 2 years this coming November. Haven't contacted Minn Kota yet but sounds like I need to.

I do have a transducer wire running down it. I have it tied down pretty secure except were I need enough slack for the motor to turn all the way around. I hope it isn't because of that.

I looked closely at the prop and it appears to still be in new like condition.

I am going to try that in the morning when the temp in my garage gets below the temp of the sun's surface. LOL

Mine is an Ultrex and suppose to do better due to the extra gps puck. But my spot lock also does not hold a lot of times in a 5' circle as advertised. Does better in the wind than no wind. I just figured they all varied some from that advertisement. I hope I don't have to go thru all of that rebuild but I better start considering it. My two year warranty ends in November.

Does it only do it in the water? Reach down while you are moving in the water and put some tension on the cable. Took me several beers and a lot of head scratching to figure it out. I had 8 zip ties running down the shaft. Now I have 10 and pulled cable tight before I installed and tighten the next tie.
If it's doing it out of the water it definitely is not this problem though. But if it only does it in the water is gonna be some kinda outside vibration.
