You'll grow to love the ease of camping this new way, not as close to nature as the old way, but close enough. Thanks for sharing.
    What rig did you get?
Can't wait to see it at Crappie.com camp next year.Upgraded the tent.

I got 5th the wheel used, and upgraded boat too. Wifey likes to scallop so I needed something that could do fresh and salty waters too. I don't double pull though.

Yes KZ does build a good camper. I was impressed by all the extras included with the camper. Simple things, like a yellow light for the steps so you can see them at night, and yellow so the light doesn't attract bugs. Motion activated light inside the door of the camper so you aren't walking into a dark camper at night. Outside tv cable outlet with power. Rain gutters to keep the water running off the roof from running down the side of the camper. Pre-wired rear camera mount. Black tank built in flush system. Mood lighting over the slide out (blue LED light strip). 2x8 I beam frame. Fully enclosed, insulated, and heated under belly so the tanks don't freeze, plus it keeps the floor of the camper warm. Cold feet make for a cold body. Plus a 2 year full warranty. Pull out and swinging faucets. Since we went with the upgrade from 8cu' to 10cu' it changed the power options for the fridge. The 8cu' fridge is dual powered, propane/12v. The 10cu' is only 12v. However the camper did come solar prepped, I just need solar panels while boondocking, or keep it plugged into shore power. While traveling my truck keeps the fridge running.

Couple things I wish it had; light in the front basement storage area, this is where I put all the set-up gear. Ramps for leveling, power cords, water hoses, chocks, level, etc. A switch for the bedroom lights. Each light has its own center switch, which works, however requires you to turn them all on/off one at a time if you need them all on/off. A master switch would be nice. While I like the rack in the back, it creates some problems. While folded up, I can't access the outside shower or fold down the roof ladder and access the roof. I don't like the location of the hot water tank bypass, I have to remove a panel under the sink to access it. I may move it so I can access it from the outside hot water tank door.

Overall, I am very satisfied with the camper.

Nice rig you got there. Glad to see it has been approved. lol

To be honest, I'm seriously considering traveling to other states Crappie.com gatherings next year. MS is a neighboring state, and on my list. Is the MS Crappie camp the same weekend and location every year?

The wife has already penciled in a trip to Table Rock. Well, she thinks we are going to Branson and I think we are going to Table Rock. I already mentioned getting a guide for half a day while there. Of coarse that was after mentioning all the other tourist trap stuff she wants to do, um, we want to do... lol

Wow, I think you've saved up enough for a van like this, but it looks great. I probably won't buy something like that for myself anytime soon, but I'm still happy to be camping in my stargazing tent. In one stargazing tent buyer's guide, I read what tents are best for this and settled on a dome tent. My girlfriend and I often go camping, and watching the stars outside are pretty chilly, so getting such a tent was necessary. I don't regret buying it at all because it's spacious and cozy enough for two people. There is also a place for our equipment and backpacks.

I really enjoy tent camping but my body can’t take the ground any more. We opt for a hotel anymore when we travel.
