Launching my kayak to fish at my two favorite fishing holes is $5 and $9 respectively. The farther one is 12 miles from the house and the close one is 6 miles. I bring a 40 oz. thermos of gatorade with ice and a couple bottles of water to drink, plus an apple & some granola bars (with more snacks in the truck & a grill at the boathouse on one lake).

The big reservoirs are 10 miles and 26 miles away. Both are free to launch from certain ramps. I always carry more food & drink on the kayak because I get farther from the truck on the big lakes. It only costs me gas to fish there, though I tend to lose more crankbaits at the big lakes because of more stumps & sunken logs.

I'v been known to put on 800+ miles in a 3 day weekend. If I drive from SE Minn to the Canada Minn border. My brother and I have a fish camp 600 mi round trip we average that trip about once a month. Then local fishing. We split the driving but I have the boat. Fishing I just have to do it hot cold or frozen. Fishing is something we budget for monthly and yearly.

I often fish out of my float tube or just off the bank, I spend very little -- maybe $10 a trip for drinks, snacks and bait.

Just gas money pretty much. I'd say 20 bucks, give or take.

Ramps are 5 bucks per launch, but I buy a 40$ annual pass. As often as I go, less than a dollar per launch.

I bring tap water from home, and eat an early dinner before I leave.

I spend a lot more than that. I put over 8,000 miles on my truck in 2017 just for fishing, period.
It's not what you spend guys, it's all about the adventure, time spent outdoors, time with friends and family, and catching some of God's best pieces of work!!

Besides, you can't take it with so ya might as well spend it here doing what you love!

Well when I go to the lake in the boat I usually pick up minnows and spend around $30.00 on boat and truck gas combined. So probably $40.0 for the lake trips. I do a lot of kayaking closer to home and probably spend less than $10.00 per kayak trip, mostly truck gas. I usually bring drinks and nuts from home.
