The water was between 15 and 16 feet deep for most of those.

And yes, we were at a NE Florida lake. A new one for us and quite small. I'll post about it after we learn some additional info about the place.

The side imaging is still new to me and I don't have the hang of it yet. I can drive by a known brush pile and still not see anything. I am going to check my spark plugs this morning and see if they are suppressor spark plugs as I have been told that can make a big difference. I am using a 93sv with chirp
All those were with my 93SV, same unit you have. Make SURE you put the ferrite core that came with your Garmin on the power line. I initially had the 93 running on the trolling motor battery and that was a disaster. HUGE amount of interference. I changed to the starting battery and the interference went away. But I'm running a small 20hp Suzuki. I'm not having any more problems now at all.

The boat picture is pretty neat. Since I converted over to sidescan last year, I've already found three. One being yesterday.

I thought I would have found more myself after hearing all the wild stories of people sinking their boats behind Gaston and Roanoke Rapids lake dams. So far I've only found one. I love looking at people's side image pictures. Always something interesting even if the fish don't bite.

    Nice images!
Crappie Wrangler - don't be afraid to change the settings. Contrast, brightness, 455 or 800, color pallets, etc. If you mess it up, you can always do a factory reset and start over.

Is your transducer level with boat moving?
It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Yes it is. I realized that I was not traveling at the right speed to get the optimal image. At 3 mph I can use the side imaging. I also had to change the colors a lot. I think I ended up with amber. For me the screen is difficult to see on a bright day. If it is overcast I can see it just fine. I need to get one of those Ram mounts but I will have to wait a bit because of budget.

If you just want to elevate the unit, get two floor flanges and whatever length nipple you need.

I'll get a better pic if your interested.
These are galvanized, so I painted them inside and out, to cut down on the rust. Mounted a painted board on top to mount the unit too.

Why is the plastic pipe attached to the trolling motor.
Be safe and good luck fishing
