Unfortunately, shoreline anglers were watching every move after seeing the bend in the rod from every hooked fish. The school held over a fifteen fish and also included gills and a 3 lb bass. They couldn't help but notice me fighting that bass all around the boat until it splashed the surface and got off. Sure as heck didn't want them to see it lifted into the boat! I waited until they all left except one, not wanting to have to lie about the lures I was using.

And no doubt, even a 14" crappie will not be led by the nose to the boat. Been there, fought that !!!

I've noticed this to and if I'm fishing for the dinner table I do the Same but when I'm going to let them go I like to feel them pull . This will also avoid the need for a net in most cases
