    Most of you may know but low Magnesium can also cause cramps.

    Check out what Lance Armstrong used for years. Worked for him.

    Dr told me to drink gator aid. Low electrolytes in hot weather causes leg cramps also. I use the orange stuff.

    good info thanks for post, we have football season around the corner and it will be hot. I think I am going to buy some. My son will wake up with leg cramps working out in the heat.

    my step father is an old 80 year old indian from the hills of north Carolina and wears jute twine on each ankle and has for years for his cramped up legs and says in 30 years has not had any cramps at all

    I just go to Dollar Tree and buy a jar of sweet pickles. Put the pickles on your sandwiches. A tablespoon of the pickle juice is a nice remedy for cramps and also arthritis. Just sayin........

    I can tell you first hand that a big spoon full of yellow mustard will eliminate muscle cramps. I do not know about prevention, but I get them pretty bad and about 2 minutes or less after a big spoon full of yellow mustard the cramps will subside...

    Water loss. General rule after practice is drink (water is best )till you pee . A bottle of water every hour if outdoors(over 85 degrees ) will help a lot .
