    Default Fishing a brush pile

Just wanted to see what technique everyone uses. If the brush pile is in 10 ft water do you vertical jig, cast and swim the jig over the top or use float and drift it Same brush pile but 20 ft deep do you fish it same way or change. Thanks

I'd cast/swim a weedless jighead/plastics over, around, and thru the brushpile ... in both cases.

If I knew the brushpile well, and there was more than 6' of water over the topmost part, then I might also cast/swim a Road Runner over and beside it.

Clear water conditions, cast and swim or set a float and present jig/ bait over top of shallow brush. Stained to muddy water, get close or over top and vertical jig with 8ft or longer single pole jig rod. Deep water brush, vertical jig all the way and wait for the thump, very addictive around this crowd. Add Slab Sauce to jig/bait and hang on!

All of the above. My favorite way would be to vertical jig it followed closely by casting a weed less jig over/through it, I love to feel the thump. My least favorite is a cork but I will fish however the fish are biting.
