    Default Bumble beez kneez

it could happen you know , I could have a bumble bee looking jig , I could have pitched it in the water and it might have ketched me some crappie . of course it could also be just another fishee story and it might have been different than I remember , but to be sure the thought of it maybe happening and the big ole gar that took my float at lunch time by the bank on my super slow retrieve might be enough to run ones imagination into a I might believe it scenario .
and then there was the first stop in the pink sunrise at another lake many miles way and the nice slab that thumped me right off the bat that day as well .but then again that's yet another fishee story and what took place might be just more of my memory failure and or ketchn'z tales thingee as well .
now onto the particulars . was on my way early to my customer about 45 minutes west of the house and then off to the small bank in a town 2 hours away to secure some credit for a loan on my little dream place out that way . time was very minimal to ketch and I made myself quit fast and hard start . First stop first light first drop KABOOM ...missed em second drop KABOOM not this time , then nada and then only one other in the first ten minutes …..then I went to smaller lighter jig and KABOOM some more and 17 hit my hand in 20 minutes …..time was up and that's my first 30 minutes of ketchn for the day . those fish were only 8 foot down you see and I was under them 2 feet the first ten minutes ….my bad
next stop to yet another lake far away from that one at lunch time , roll up got about 20 minutes to pitch my jig and hit a spot I know holds crappie .not a soul at either lake I hit when I hit them and the second stop was heart breaking . the most bestest dock ever was GONE and the walkway to it up on the bank
I was like oh great just great …wasted time on this stop for sure ….or did I is the question ? I know it "SAT" over real deep water and I know the bank is like straight down rocks where it "WAS" and I said why couldn't I still ketch a crappie from the rocky bank ?
I tried to pitch my jig ….not happening , I said it aint over I got 15 minutes left . grabbed me a heavy bumble jig and a big pencil float and went at em .
first fling crappie on ! yeah buddy I got this and 8 foot under a float was magic and I could see fish in the lite "SURF" flashing on the bait under the surface ! man did I want to stay there a while but I couldn't do it . That there bumble bee slow drug back to the bank was working them lips over I tell ya and to make it even more of a fishee story and rather large gar showed up and snuck his gar fish trunk up on my pencil float and gave it a CHOMP about 6 foot in front of me as well . note teeth marks on my float ….
and that there is my fishee story for this week
stay tuned ladies and gents but don't stay thirsty
p.s. and the waters are low now and I found me a nice Shrade fixed blade in the rocks and then of course had me some crappie tacos from Sundays trip for dinner , quite a blessed day for sure and then some wonder if I am full of it , but those that go with me no otherwise
    and the end KABOOM >>>>

Nice fish , that old knife looks like it might be the old 1095 hi carbon blade. That stuff sharpens up like a razor. I have a few of the old shrade old timers and they Are my favorite knives.
