Nice setup. You might consider rigging a small bungee chord to rap around the bottom of your umbrella to secure in the wind.

Nice work! Have you used one set up like this before? The reason I ask is it looks like, from the photo, you’re using either a 1 1/4” x 3/4” tee with 3/4” pvc pipe out to the 3/4” elbow or 1 1/2”x 3/4 “ tee. The sudden gust that we sometimes get, in open water, has me wondering about the of the strength of the pvc coming out of the tee. I was thinking that a 1 1/4”x 1 1/4"(1 1/2") tee would allow the larger, stronger pipe coming out of the tee to handle the stress better. Coming out of a 1 1/4" or 1 1/2" elbow with a reducer down to 3/4". The umbrella pole being inside the 3/4” down pipe should give it ample support. Just my observation, either way the bungee cevans suggested seems a good idea. Good luck with a much needed summertime commodity. Nice boat and European-style antler heads.

Pass the "Sportsman Baton" on before you're gone, promote values for others to hunt and fish upon.

I had my umbrella get blown out of the "holder", so I drilled a hole thru PVC & umbrella pole & used a cotter pin to secure it in place. Umbrella has been blown "inside out" a couple of times, in heavy wind, but the umbrella can't be blown "out" of the holder.

I do like your "mid pedestal" connection (for standard/straight pedestal), but I use an offset pedestal, so I had to have mine shorter and fit at the bottom of the pedestal.

I made front and back ones out of 2 in thick oak boards screwed to the deck with LOTS of screws. Used a pipe flange screws into a threaded 1.5” pipe. The umbrella bottom slides over it. Put a large beach umbrella on it, works well

It will "feel" 10-15deg cooler, just because you are blocking solar radiation being under the umbrella.
