FYI, I have heard from a two people, one boat mechanic and one boat owner that Progressive is hard to deal with on claims. YMMV, it could just be their local adjuster.

Allstate. Haven’t had to use them on the boat thank god but have dealt with a few auto claims and no issues to report.
State Farm here. Not on a rider with homeowners. I insuer 3 different class boats ( I know, I know 2 too many). Each boat has its own coverage but fishing boat if broken out is 400 yr, 100,000 liability, 20,000 coverage covers electronics trolling motor and all gear now and in the future, including hull and engine damage regardless of how it happens.
I used my Auto insurance that covered Boat while on the Road... Once I Had a woman tailgating in her SUV - Wind caught the Ice Chest and ripped the Lid off just as I was looking behind in the Rear View to see it bust the Windshield. I pulled over and exchanged info and never heard another word... Guess I was lucky .... I wonder if she still Tailgates Boats.
