Cool Mr Crappie and fishing with Shuorc - Contest - Ends at the end of July 2018

This is gonna be a story and a contest. So here's the story.

"Richard Gene the Fishing Machine" made mention in one of his Youtube Videos that you can get the memory (curls) out of your line by soaking your line in water for a week before you spool it up.

OK, I had bought some Mr. Crappie Slab Shaker Fishing reels a while ago. I used one, and noticed all the curly cues in the line. On that reel I actually replaced the line with some newer Mr. Crappie line and it was fine. But I thought it was a pain and a waste to have to re-spool all the reels in order to use them effectively. I even tried another technique on the next reel I used. The other technique is to stretch 100 feet (or so) of the line real tight in your back yard (to the point of almost breaking) to stretch the curls out. And that does seem to work too, but not as well as soaking it.

So on the next reel I did soak it in water for a week. I simply took the front end of the reel off (essentially the spool) and soaked it for a week, put it back on the rest of the reel, and it worked great.

I went dock shooting and jigging with Shuorc this morning and the line had no memory and was nice and limp. Seemed to cast twice as far. I LOVED IT.

Shu is no where near as grumpy as the picture makes him look. He's actually a lot of fun. lol

OK, so here's the contest. Post something good you like about any Mr. Crappie products and we will randomly select a winner at the end.

And this is what you'll get.

Slab Shaker reels. The spinning reel is only $15.99 at FishUSA btw: https://www.fishusa.com/product/Lews...-Spinning-Reel
I like the reel and the price, especially cause I don't have to re-spool new line onto it. Soak the line and it'll be better than new line, seriously.

Plus I'll even throw in these Jokers!

I use the "stretch & hold" method for getting memory coils out of my line.

Two of Mr. Crappie's baits that I've used with very good success are : Mr. Crappie Crappie Thunder Tubes & the Mr. Crappie Shadpole.

I have 2-9', 2-10', 2-5'6 poles that I use all the time. Never had an issue with them. Favorite bait is the black and chartreuse joker. Caught more fish on that than any other.

I have a Mr. Crappie SOLO reel and I really like it for single pole jigging.
You had me worried tho when you said you were going to throw in a couple of jokers...I was afraid you were talking about me and "D"
I have spent most my life fishing........the rest I wasted.

I use Mr Crappie Hi Vis 4lb test line and love it. I don't have a problem with memory at all with it.
