Default Guberment dropping bombs right near house

This is not too far from my house. They say I should hear the explosions, I'll have to listen. I've driven the road there many times. Sure hope they don't miss! doh

Actually it’s about 50 minutes away. It’s on my way when I go to crescent lake or the St. John’s river at Astor. Check it out on google. It’s a very strange place. Still, pretty wild that they say we should hear the bombs this far away. I’m just as far as Mt Dora as mentioned in the article I posted.

I live near, and work on and near Redstone Arsenal. When I first moved here, the bombs would really get my attention. They'll rattle the house windows sometimes. Now, I think I don't even hear them half the time. It's like living near train tracks.

    Go watch.
They are fast and loud, then there is a boom. It's pretty cool to see, from a safe distance.

They dispose of old ordnance at Crane Naval Weapons Depot about a mile from my house. Rattles the windows as well as when your fishing Patoka Lake (25 miles) or Dogwood (15 miles) or West Boggs (5 miles) in southern Indiana as the crow flys, you can hear the detonations of the disposal teams go off. It can sure mess with your deer hunting during deer season as it sometimes spooks the wildlife. It’s a normal thing for me as have been sprayed by dust cloud once in a great while

I was stationed at Cecil Field Florida. We trained there before being deployed to the South China seas.. We called the bombing exercises "the bombing derby". The exercises were designed to prepare us for what was around the corner, both mentally and physically.

I was in the Guard in the 60s. We were at Summer camp at Fort Smith. The Harrisburg battery put a 105 off the post into
a man's pasture. When he called, he was scared. The second one they put up there he called and was really mad.
    Tell'em I'll be there.

If you like to watch the go fast boys, it's not hard to find the area they drop in. I hunted near there when the jets were at work and it was amazing for this man who had never been around them ever before. The roads around the range are passable and the wildlife does move sometimes, but my experience is that they are so bothered that they move away from the area of activity and bed down until their defenses work better when things calm down. Better off to stay in the car. When one is making a pass they're cookin pretty good. I hollered at the guy 3 feet away from me and he didn't hear a word I said. Overall, it's pretty cool thing for a while if you like watching them fly. And best of all, it's free.
