rubber band and a walmart bag.
I guess some of you guys live out in the country like I do, I have to travel on a limestone road to get to the blacktop and the dust is bbaadd. My poles are in a rod rack in my boat and get full of dust going to my favorite fishing hole Saline/Larto Complex. Does anyone know of a dust cover Shakespeare ATS line counter reels or something simple to cover the reels to keep the dust out? I've lost one of the clear plastic pieces over the numbers and that was the first one to fail, I disabled cleaned and regreased it but it still didn't work. The dust made short work on the plastic gears that make the counter work. Any ideas or suggestions would sure be appreciated. Chip

I have used old tube socks and rubber bands.
Kind of like feelay posted, years ago I have tied plastic shopping bags around my reels when I transported them in an open boat. Sometimes I'll still do that for spinning reels, baitcasters get reel covers.

I wouldn't suggest going fishing for the next 6 days then.

Trash bags with a drawstring are what works for me. BUT. If your reels are up in the wind they will shred immediately..... Here the mountain folk use those blue socks to carry their herbal medicine.
