Got Out Today

I got to get out today and see if I could get some line stretched. I went to the Tailwater Area of Springfield Lake here in Springfield, Mo, though I really wasn't there very long, just a couple hours, I only caught one. A really nice 19" LMG. The water was flowing really well and the river inlet was very full, I had a problem trying to get my jig and minnow where the Crappie usually hang out. I was throwing straight into the wind with a 1/32 oz jig and slip bobber. It just wouldn't go more than about 50', that's 50' short of the crappie hole. I enjoyed the fight the LMB gave unfortunately I was not to get any Crappies this day. All in all I really enjoyed my time at the spillway as usual. Tight lines everyone.
