    Lightbulb Mississippi Lakes

    Hi guys,
taking the yak out this weekend looking for some slabs. Are any of the lakes in north Mississippi worth pursuing? I know the flooding has been rough. Any info would be greatly appreciated as I would hate to waste an hour drive just to get skunked!

The fish are biting, just not jumping in the boat. Monday the first spot we stopped caught one, the next was a zero, so was the next four or five spots. The last spot produced three over 13 inches. It's a slog but can be fun. Spoke with other fishermen with similar stories. The strippers were loads of fun, had me thinking it was a huge crappie.lol

.... it's STRIPERS, folks !! As in Striped Bass (fish), not "strippers" (as in human females in a strip club).

From looks of weather report don't think I would be on any of them with a yak this weekend. Might as well come to camp at Grenada Saturday. You could put in right here at camp ground and fish for awhile then come to festivity.

Any update at Grenada? Water levels and the bite?

It's the most common and funniest spelling error on fishing boards.

People mistaking "loose" and "lose" is more common but not as funny.
