    Default Crappie Boat

If the outcome of 4 bond and tax rate issues are positive next Tuesday I値l pull the trigger on a new boat. Since Reelfoot is only 35 minutes away I値l have to stick with an aluminum boat. I致e kinda narrowed it down to an Xpress H18 PFC or Ranger RT188c. I currently have a 2000 Tracker ProCrappie 175. Any input?

My Ranger rides good. Don't know about the Xpress.

Is it heavy enough to spider rig in a little wind?

Look at Phowler boats. Reelfoot is relentless. I have hunted and fished there for 25 years . My .02

My son just went to the Memphis boat show what was it a month ago or so ? He looked at everything there real hard. In the end he said he thought the fit and finish, options etc for the money the Ranger was the best of them. He bought the crappie model which gives you three seat positions up front and the trolling motor pedal is loose so you can move it around. I have not got to fish in it yet. Only thing for me is I would want front livewell. Course you can put small cooler up front then just move em back every so often. If Reelfoot was about the only place I was going to fish I think I would look at a tunnel hull jon boat and outfit it the way I wanted. Not to discount any other recommendations they would know better then me more than likely....but you ask about the Ranger.

If you are a Ranger fan take a look at Forrest Wood and family new line of boats. Vexus, just released.
