    Default Every Now And Then

I think there is no need to speak of how the J.O.B. gets in the way of prime fishing time during the week. Every now and then the planets align, and something beyond our control, helps get a workin man a few minutes time for the unexpected. My one puppy turned into a poopie yesterday and had to have an emergency trip to the vet. Being 80lbs, my Queen couldn't handle her by herself so I got to play hooky and take care of business. All done by noon, and mama taking a snooze, it was prime time to load up and take the 3 mile ride to heaven, otherwise known as the river during the week without the idiotic boat traffic common on the weekend. Never put the trolling motor down, nor did I put the front seat in place. I just used the big motor and went from spot to spot and dipped whatever I could find that had more than 6 feet of water. The first place got me 8 fish for the first 11 drops of the jig, 3 would have come to dinner but again, I was just fishing. I won't go into detail but I will finish by saying that the final count was 32 crappie and 1 'gill in right at 3 hours. Half of those would have made the cut but none would have cleared the 1.25 mark. Talk about being recharging the batteries, I have to say that mine are at 100%. Now if I can get a little sleep I'll even be up to par for work tomorrow. Life is good........Skeet

PS notice the shiny jig in the fishes mouth? That was plan B. The best one was identical but with a bare lead head and they just couldn't stand it.
