Default 20 mph out of the North

or a bit more was the maximum gust speeds .....but it was "only" about 15 or a bit above most of the time sustained .....
man was it tough to get on them fish , I think they were pushed off the spots they like in the spring or something along that line as they didn't seem to be in them when we got there .
casting was a real chore and holding a float still was nearly impossible . I took the wife to our little country spot to ketch some crappie but soon figured out I was wrong about them still biting well no matter the wind speed or direction . I even went so far as to tell her it should be good with the wind to our backs on that little point !
Long story short I played with the fish best I could and my wife struggled to ketch them for sure right along with me . At one point she finally managed a tiny crappie and was super happy about it , I apologized for its size and the conditions and she said its ok I am just happy I finally caught a crappie I don't care if its a lil one ....
Had a little fun with them pond fish and it was sure off for that spot but in the end we hurt a bunch of lil fishee lips and I managed few nice crappie in the mix as well ......
sometimes it just is what it is don't ya know
stay tuned and have a great day

I know it will get better. However, as I sit in the waiting room during my wife’s colonoscopy, I am watching it snow, and temps in the 30’s. In mid March! In TN!

Better to get out and do something than to sit home wishin and do nothing. Good deal!
