    Default Favorite Discontinued Lures

Have any of your favorite plastics been discontinued? Were you able to scrounge some up somehow?

Culprit tassel-tail grubs are my favorite grubs. That tail has incredible action. The first ones that I fished with were the 2” ones, but they also made a 3” version. I used the 3” one for bass and sacalait in freshwater, and I used the 3” tassel tails for flounder, trout, and redfish in saltwater. I would pair it with a 1/4 oz “Texas Trout” jighead for saltwater, because it had a short, heavy shank. One of those “perfect” lures that you could catch everything on. I would buy 10-20 packs at a time from culprits website, and that would last me a while. A few years ago, I couldn’t find them on their website. I contacted them to hear “we wish everyone liked them as much as you, but we didn’t sell enough of them, and they’ve been discontinued.”

Well, there goes that. As far as I know, they still make the 2” version, or at least I hope they still do.

Anyone here ever use the tassel tails? Excellent lure. They also made 7.5” worms and lizards. Those are great for bass.

For me it isn’t a lure but a hook. I love Matzuo black sickle jig heads and now they are getting hard to find. I’m trying some new ones out but don’t know if I will ever find one I like as much.

Not a plastic, but a marabou crappie jig. Growing up, we used a jig called "CK-47". I don't remember who made them. There were two colors: white/tan and white/gray. I'd love to have a few cards just to look at.

    Yum wooly beavertails.

I mean even a lot of guides knew how good they were, surprised they weren't selling enough.

Would somebody with some influence get them making those things again?
