Question Replace the hoop of your landing net? Help please.

I have a nearly new landing net that the hoop is broken on. I have searched the internet for replacement hoops with no success. Thinking about alternative materials to make a hoop out of, hopefully that would be stronger than the cheap aluminum tubing i have broken. What does everyone do? I don't think I am the first to do this.

I used brake line once. But it came out about even $ with buying a new net.

I found a replacement for mine at a yard sale for a buck. Handle was jacked up so I just took out the two screws and slid them into my handle. New mine was 8$ or so at Wally before I added it three feet of to the handle.

If you know what company manufactured it you could buy a replacement from them.

We do live in a disposable world, so I admire your resolve, I buy the nets from yard sales too, then throw the netting away, and buy catch and release net hoop replacement, and those are hard to find.

Just a thought but how about the fiberglass rods they sell at hardware stores to use as driveway markers? Don't know how flexible it is but easy to check out, just dont break it in sight of the security cameras.
